Hello everyone, it has come to our attention lately that we have ANOTHER ZL1 Lid backorder situation. This is definitely not a situation we like to see at all, considering this is the preferred lid to most of our LSA supercharger kits.

With that being said, as many of our clients and followers know, we do our best to stock lids as much room as our warehouse can give. As of 9/1/2024, we were notified by 3 out of the 5 GM dealers we have dealt with that they are no longer able to honor prior agreements of discounts on these items since they have become a "hot commodity" for people to call them and buy direct for $300-600 more than wholesale, and even over MSRP (because they stock hundreds of these for us also with a revolving Purchase order).  We were in weeks of negotiation that saved you and I $100. 

This has basically put us in a spot to be extorted. out of these 3 dealerships, 2 of them we were able to negotiate to just buy them at retail, and one of the dealerships did not budge, so we have dropped them out of our supplier list and wished them their best. 

With that being said, even after this extorsion- our Zl1 lids cost are now reaching $1000 to $1050 each unit.  With our kits only charging clients $550 per unit, we have to charge this surcharge for the meantime until we get a resolution from GM directly (since we did have to buy those stock to have something to offer at the least).

There is no winning this situation against big GM dealerships. The sad reality is that, GM will buy these lids back from the dealers for retail pricing, and sell it to dealerships that have orders placed. We had to take what we can get to ensure we can give you all, the consumers, options. 

Here are our options:

1. Order your kit without a zl1 lid from us (you already have your own lid lined up)
2. Order your kit with a zl1 lid and add this surcharge to your cart to get a lid.
3. Upgrade your kit to a 2650 or 2300 supercharger if we have one to cover that application. 
4. Order a DISCOUNTED Harrop upgrade lid from us to use on your LSA kit. This is an upgraded lid that has upgraded brick also for max cooling.

Lastly, we apologize in advance for this news, we did not want to make this page but sadly, we have no way to absorb this cost. Especially that majority of the parts in our kit have gone up in cost also, that we already have absorbed to the best of our abilities. The only way we were able to combat previous cost increases were to increase our buying power to get aggressive pricing- and transfer those savings to our consumers.

This surcharge will go away as soon as we have a GM resolution or our regular stocking order go back in place. We will update accordingly.
