C8 Corvette TCM Tuning via HP Tuners

Unlock improved shift performance and greater transmission control with Boost District’s C8 Corvette TCM Tuning Service.

Designed for C8 Corvettes equipped with the GM T46 Transmission Control Module, our calibration takes advantage of HP Tuners’ unlocked T46 tuning capabilities to optimize transmission behavior beyond the factory calibration.

Whether your C8 is naturally aspirated, supercharged, or twin turbocharged, proper transmission calibration is an important part of getting the most out of your performance combination.

Sharper, Faster & More Consistent Shifting

The factory C8 transmission calibration is designed around OEM power levels, drivability targets, and factory torque management strategies. Once additional power is introduced, those factory settings may no longer be ideal. This Also Alleviates most causes for the notorious P1960 and P1961 codes that many people have experienced on some setups.

Our TCM calibration allows us to optimize transmission behavior for your specific vehicle and power combination, including improvements to:

• Shift speed and responsiveness

• Shift firmness

• Gear change consistency

• Torque management strategies

• Transmission behavior under increased engine load

• Part-throttle and wide-open-throttle shifting

• Overall drivability and performance

The goal is not simply to make the transmission shift harder. We calibrate the TCM to provide controlled, predictable, and repeatable transmission performance appropriate for the vehicle’s setup.

The Perfect Addition to a Boost District ECM Tune

For modified C8 Corvettes, the engine and transmission work together as a complete system.

Pairing our TCM calibration with a Boost District ECM tune allows us to better coordinate engine torque delivery and transmission operation for a more complete performance package.

TCM Unlock Required

Before the factory GM T46 TCM can be tuned, the module must first be physically unlocked through HP Tuners.

Required T46 TCM Unlock Service

The HP Tuners GM T46 TCM Upgrade/Unlock Service is required before calibration can be installed.

Boost District will provide instructions for the unlock process, including information regarding shipping the module to HP Tuners and receiving it back after the unlock has been completed.

Your TCM cannot be tuned until the HP Tuners unlock process has been completed.

Required Hardware & Licensing

Customers will need the following to receive and flash their calibration:

HP Tuners Interface

One of the following compatible devices is required:

• HP Tuners MPVI4 with 6 credits
  

Unless selected, HP Tuners credits and interface hardware are not included with the tuning service.

Required Software

Customers using an RTD4 will need the latest version of the HP Tuners Tune Delivery Network (TDN) mobile application.

Customers using an MPVI interface may use the latest version of HP Tuners VCM Suite on a compatible Windows PC.

How the Process Works

1. Place your Boost District C8 TCM tuning order.
2. Boost District will Email you a tuning form to fill out
3. Ship ECU out for the required HP Tuners T46 TCM unlock process.
4. Reinstall the unlocked TCM into the vehicle.
5. Read the required vehicle files using your HP Tuners interface.
6. Submit the requested files and vehicle information to Boost District.
7. Boost District will prepare your transmission calibration.
8. Your tune will be delivered electronically for flashing through HP Tuners.
9. Additional revisions may be performed when necessary based on vehicle configuration and data logs.
